Brittany McMurren, O.D. received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Cedar Crest College, Allentown, PA. She attended the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, IL for her Doctor of Optometry and is licensed in the state of CA. Her graduate experience included pediatric vision development, sport vision therapy, post-traumatic brain injury rehabilitation, refractive surgery pre & post-op care, complex contact lens fitting, keratoconus and anterior segment diseases. She was a research assistant at the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute, where she built the stroke database, integrating in-house stroke data with pre-existing state and nation-wide databases.

Dr. McMurren is developing a dry eye specialty at Gordon-Weiss-Schanzlin Vision Institute, in addition to providing family eye care services. There are many new treatments available for dry eye disease. A thorough diagnostic examination will determine the cause and options for reducing or eliminating the discomfort and symptoms of dry eye.
